It is designed to run on Windows 95, 98, 98SE, ME, NT4.0, 2K, XP. In 1999, LTspice III was released, the first public release. It is used by many users in fields including radio frequency electronics, power electronics, audio electronics, digital electronics, and other disciplines. While LTspice does support simple logic gate simulation, it is not designed specifically for simulating logic circuits. LTspice does not generate printed circuit board (PCB) layouts, but netlists can be exported to PCB layout software. It has enhancements and specialized models to speed the simulation of switched-mode power supplies (SMPS) in DC-to-DC converters. Heat dissipation of components can be calculated and efficiency reports can also be generated. Circuit simulation analysis based on transient, noise, AC, DC, DC transfer function, DC operating point can be performed and plotted as well as fourier analysis. If you upload the DigitalLogic library and symbol files to the temp files area I will try installing them on my mac.LTspice provides schematic capture to enter an electronic schematic for an electronic circuit, an enhanced SPICE type analog electronic circuit simulator, and a waveform viewer to show the results of the simulation. The new subdirectory is listed in the Component dialog after LTspice is restarted. I did my testing by creating the DigitalLogic subdirectory in the lib/sym directory and copying the xor.asy symbol file from the LTspice Digtal symbol directory into the new DigitalLogic subdirectory. It displays the empty directory as " " vs " ". I thought perhaps LTspice did not display empty symbol directories in the Component dialog (F2 or right-click Draft -> Component) but I see that it does. It should contain the *.asy symbol files you want to place on your schematics. In your step 4, you say you moved a DigitalLogic folder to the sym subdirectory but you do not say what was in that folder. The *.lib files go into the lib/sub subdirectory, and the *.asy files go into the lib/sym/DigitalLogic subdirectory (after you create the new DigitalLogic subdirectory). The lib directory is where you need to place your *.lib (subcircuit) and *.asy (symbol) files. There should be a lib directory right beside the lib.zip file in /Users//Library/Application Support/LTspice. That is not necessary unless lib.zip just happens to be the name of the file containing your DigitalLogic library and symbols. I see you opened the lib.zip file in your step 2.

Hi Alexis, I just tested this on my mac running macOS 11.6 using LTspice 17.0.36. Make sure to move only the CONTENTS of the "DigitalLogic" folder do not try to move the folder itself.

If it is - acttually, even if it is not, go back to the ZIP file, and move the CONTENTS of the DigitalLogic folder from the ZIP file to the new directory that you just created. Now run LTspice, and check to see if the new folder is visible in the Components selector. If you name it "DigitalLogic", does the OS complain that a directory with that name already exists? If so, then name it "DigitalLogic2". Use mkdir or whatever is the right MacOS command to create a new subdirectory of sym.Urs/alexismendoza/Library/Application Support/LTspice/lib/sym

It might create a special file instead of a normal directory, or it might do something else. " It is suspicious because I don't know what "moving" a folder out of a ZIP file to your file system actually does. Urs/alexismendoza/Library/Application Support/LTspice/lib/sym. The step that is suspicious is this one: "4. Alexis, I wrote a reply here, but Groups.io gagged and vomited and my reply disappeared.
